Chor Yeok Eng (Chinese: 曹煜英; pinyin: Cáo Yù Yīng) was a prominent first generation People's Action Party (PAP) politician in Singapore.
Political career
Member of Parliament (1966 to 1984)
Chor was a parliamentary member for Bukit Timah Single Member Constituency from 1966 to 1984.
Retirement
Chor is considered as one of the 'Old Guard' - the first generation of leaders of independent Singapore. He is one of its remaining living members, outliving Lee Kuan Yew, along others like Othman Wok, Ong Pang Boon and Jek Yeun Thong.
