Chorachiwadi is a panchayat village in the state of Maharashtra, India. Administratively, Chorachiwadi is under Shrigonda Taluka of Ahmadnagar District in Maharashtra.[1]

The Grampanchayat Chorachiwadi is made up of Chorachiwadi Gavthan and Bhingan Dumala, two small sub village. The Chorachiwadi is situated on the bank of a small river, Saraswati, which flows about 5 kilometers from Chorachiwadi to where it meets the Bhima River in Pedgaon. Chorachiwadi is located in between the historical location 'Dharmaveer' Sambhaji fort of Pedgaon and the taluka place Shrigonda.

Agriculture

The most of the villagers are farmer. The main crops of Chorachiwadi are Sugarcane, sorghum(Jawar), Wheat, Cotton, Grapes, Lemon, and Pomegranates. Since the place doesn't get enough rain thus almost all irrigation depends on water canal systems namely "Kukadi" and "Ghod". Ghod water canal pass from village even though most land is irrigated by Kukadi canal water.

Education

In Chorachiwadi there are four Anganwadi's and a Balwadi, under the 'Ekatmik Balvikas kendra' Shrigonda tehsil. Anganwadi's namely Chorachiwadi, Bhingan Dumala, Salunke Wasti, Landge Wasti etc.

There is a Zilla parishad prathamik (ZPP) school form first to seven'th standards. For further standards there is a high school named Palhad Maharaj high school which was established in 2006 in Chorachiwadi. High school conducts classes of Eight'th to Ten'th standards.

Still there are students, admitting themselves in other high schools in Shrigonda, where they can opt convent, semi-English medium schools and also to have vocational course of Technical education along with their regular course.

In the village, it can be found that there are at least a engineer in almost all the families. Several students from Chorachiwadi have pursued and some are pursuing their Engineering degree from reputed government and non government engineering colleges.

The medical education is quite ignored by students in the village.

Politics

The total number of voters are about 1200 in 2014. Number of members in Chorachiwadi Grampanchayat are nine, from three different wards.
