Eight years later at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary Kinshofer won two more silver medals in the giant slalom and bronze in the slalom.[1]
Kinshofer started competing in alpine skiing in 1971. In 1979 she won the world cup in giant slalom, and was elected German Sportswoman of the Year.
