Christian E. Elder (born September 7, 1970 in New York, New York) is an American film director, poet, screenwriter, and a visual artist. He best known for his 2013 short film The Big Meet and the son of American screenwriter and playwright Lonne Elder III and actress Judyann Elder.[1]

Career

Elder started as an illustrator at Neal Adams' Continuity Studios (formerly Continuity Associates) in Burbank, California. He developed movie poster "comps" (pre-lim designs for studio marketing campaigns). Simultaneously, Elder pursued writing and spoken word performance.[2] In 1994 Elder coordinated a series of Poetry Slams, showcasing the winning poets at the Southern California Lollapalooza shows.

In 2012, Elder qualified as a quarterfinalist for the Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting. His debut as a filmmaker took place in 2013 at the LA Shorts Fest[3] [4] with the crime satire short film The Big Meet, starring Lane Carlson (Fear Factor) of the Carlson Twins. The film was the recipient of the Earth Award at the 2013 CineRockom International Film Festival.
