Steps concert chronology

Christmas with Steps (also known as the Light Up the World tour) was the seventh concert tour by British pop group Steps. Starting in November 2012, tour supports the band's Christmas themed album, . It is the group's first theatre tour since 1999 and their second Christmas themed tour since 2000's Steps into Christmas. After the group wanted to take a different direction with their music, the idea of a Christmas themed album surfaced during Steps: On The Road Again. It was announced on 24 September that Steps were going on tour again along with the tour dates, venues and Light Up the World.

Promoting the tour Faye talked about the show stating "It's going to be completely different to anything we've ever done before, we're going to have a real band which we've never done before because we've been very digital and this is coming back to a real raw performance". The other band members have also said that the show would be much more laid back and intimate for the fans which would show a different side to Steps. Lisa also said, "We're going to do a mix of the new album and also our classic hits, but I think what we would like to do is to actually have an alternative version with some of them so they're not necessarily the songs as you know them".

The setlist of the concert included some hits that Steps never performed at the The Ultimate Tour such as, After the Love Has Gone, Words Are Not Enough and Say You'll Be Mine. They also included almost every track from Light Up The World in the setlist of the concert, except for their cover of When She Loved Me. The show included a question and answer session during the second half of the show. Audience members were invited to post questions into a silver box on their way into the auditorium. During the second act the box was taken onto the stage and the band pulled questions out at random for Steps to answer to the audience.
