Chronicles of Brothers
Chronicles of Brothers is a series of seven fantasy novels written by GOD TV co-founder Wendy Alec. Set in the First Heaven, Earth and Hell the books follow the stories of three angelic brothers, Lucifer, Michael and Gabriel and three earthly brothers, Jason, Adrian and Nick De Vere. The narrative interweaves interpretations of Biblical texts, particularly the Book of Revelation, with Alec's own imagination. The first three books, The Fall of Lucifer, Messiah - The First Judgment and Son of Perdition were published in 2006, 2007 and 2009, respectively,[1] with the recent fourth book, A Pale Horse having been released in November 2012. Alec plans a further three books (with the working titles End of Days, War of the Ages and Lake of Fire) and a film project which is currently in the early stages of development.
Alec was recently interviewed on Chronicles of Brothers by the producers of the behind-the-screens documentary accompanying the fifth season of the television series Supernatural.
Premise
The epic fantasy series Chronicles of Brothers begins at the inception of time and traces three Archangel brothers Michael, Gabriel and Lucifer's harrowing journey from the idyllic world of their Palace Chambers in the First Heaven through to Lucifer's ultimate banishment with his Fallen Host to Perdition.
The Fall of Lucifer
Jim MacDonald of 1340mag.com sums up the plot of the first book in the Chronicles of Brothers series as follows: "The Fall of Lucifer of revolves around three archangelic brothers. Michael, Gabriel and Lucifer serve Yehovah, each commanding a third of his angelic host. They live a life both of service and joy, until Yehovah makes a decision Lucifer cannot abide. The decision to make a new creation. A creation built upon Yehovah's own genetic code".[2]
GP Taylor author of Shadowmancer has described The Fall of Lucifer as "a plot that leaves Da Vinci Code in the shade". Clem Jackson of the Christian Marketplace, London, UK writes: "This is quite simply the best piece of thriller fiction, I've read in a long time".[3]
Jim MacDonald says: "This is the best work of fiction I have read since the last installment of Dean Koontz Frankenstein series. Alec is obviously a master of the fantasy genre".[4]
Messiah - The First Judgement
Messiah - The First Judgement, is the 2nd novel written by Wendy Alec, and also the sequel to the first, The Fall Of Lucifer. The story evolves around the three archangel brothers, Lucifer, Michael and Gabriel who all play another active role in the book. In the book, Jesus is about to be born which was part of Yehovah's plan to save the sins of the world. Lucifer believes that the star shining in the sky is nothing more than an ancient star, however he soon realizes that this was a plan that Yehovah has come up with to retake the Race of Men. As Lucifer is the 'rightful' King of Earth, he has the right to put the Messiah to the test, i.e. When Jesus goes into the desert for 40 days and 40 nights, which Michael, Gabriel and Jether (Yehovah's wise subordinate) have to agree as Earth belongs to Satan. The story has the events of Jesus's birth all the way down to his death which is all seen by Yehovah and the Archangels themselves.
Son of Perdition
In an interview with 'The Voice' e-zine, Wendy Alec describes The Son of Perdition as "a character-driven drama about three brothers from an inordinately wealthy Illuminati family against a backdrop of the Angelic and the vast landscape of the Book of Revelation".[5]
Film Trilogy
It is intended for there to be an A-grade film-adaptation trilogy of the books. Wendy Alec has stated on the chronicles website that she may start at the beginning with the "Fall of Lucifer" but might also start at "Son of Perdition" and continue onwards following the story of the earthly brothers and then go back and do the earlier books.

- ↑ Jackson, Clem, "Having bemoaned the lack of good quality Christian fiction from the UK The Fall of Lucifer landed on my desk and my plea was answered. This is quite simply the best piece of thriller fiction I've read in a long time. Already into its second reprint, the High Street stores are shifting it fast – and so should the Christian retail trade too. This is only the first in a series of six novels and charts the demise of Lucifer, the Prince Regent of Heaven, due to his insane jealousy of a new species created by Yehovah, the human race. It tells of what happened when Lucifer fell and became Satan, King of the second heaven and ruler of the race of men and how his brothers, Michael and Gabriel had to deal with the fall of their much-beloved brother. This is a real page-turner and kept me gripped throughout; it's one I will read again. Bring on the next in the series, The Messiah"., Christian Marketplace, UK, August 2006.
- ↑ MacDonald, Jim, "The front cover of Wendy Alec's 'The Fall of Lucifer' says everything you need to know about this novel. Under the title the words 'an epic novel' appear, an accurate description of this gripping tale. The Fall of Lucifer is indeed nothing short of epic. Opening with the wonders of heaven, Alec creates vivid landscapes and enthralling, emotional plots. The author is obviously a master of the fantasy genre. The Fall of Lucifer is book one of the Chronicles of Brothers. The plot revolves around three archangelic brothers. Michael, Gabriel and Lucifer serve Yehovah, each commanding a third of his angelic host. They live a life both of service and joy, until Yehovah makes a decision Lucifer cannot abide. The decision to make a new creation. A creation built upon Yehovah's own genetic code. I think most people are familiar with the Christian idea of the origin of Satan. The Fall of Lucifer uses this as the basis of its plot, and it is indeed an intriguing subject. The wonder of this book is often not the plot, but the emotional interplay between characters. How do Michael and Gabriel cope with the defection of their angelic brother? How does Yehovah himself react to an act of treason? The emotional interplay between angelic and demonic characters in the realms of heaven, hell and Earth drew me into this book, capturing my interest in a way few books have recently. This is the best work of fiction I have read since the last installment of Dean Koontz Frankenstein series. I am generally afraid of Christian fiction. Too often the plot is pushed aside in order to address the theological issues behind the writer's intent. "The Fall of Lucifer" does indeed contain a fair amount of Christian doctrine, and even quotations from scripture. Wendy Alec has tied this into the plot so well that the storyline never stops moving. While I was led to see the author's spiritual views at several points in the book, never did this detract from the plot or the emotional tone of the story. The Fall of Lucifer is among the best fiction I have read. This book grabbed my attention in the first few pages, and I was unable to turn away until I had read the final words. I am anxiously awaiting book two in the Chronicles of Brothers. It's been a long time since I've read a book so engrossing that it kept me awake at night. This intricate, imaginative, thought provoking fantastic adventure is just that kind of book"., 1340Mag.com.
