Chryso Stamatopoulou (in Greek Χρυσώ Σταματοπούλου) is a Greek rock singer, composer and musical theatre actress. She is mostly known for her two studio albums ("San Anemos" 2001 and "Akatorthoto" 2012) and her participation in the popular prime time live music show "Amstel live" which was broadcast on Greek TV channel "Skai" for three seasons.[1] She is sister of Greek pop diva Mando (in Greek Μαντώ).[2] She won the second position in UNICEF's "Danny Kaye Awards" at the age of 13 and she has participated twice in the Eurovision Song Contest as a backing vocalist, with her sister Mando in 2003 and with Belarus in 2005. In 2002-2003, she also performed on stage as "Taptim", taking the lead from fellow singer/actress Evridiki, in the musical "The King and I", produced by actress/director Mimi Denisi.[3] She is currently recording her third album, in symphonic rock/ romantic heavy metal style and, being an accomplished Contemporary Vocals Professor, she is teaching in two Music Schools in Athens, as well as privately.[3][4] In 2014-2015, she performed in the Greek version of "The Sound of Music", the most expensive musical theatre production in Greece.[5]
