Chthonerpeton arii is a species of amphibian in the Typhlonectidae family. It is endemic to Brazil. Its natural habitats are dry savanna, rivers, intermittent rivers, freshwater marshes, intermittent freshwater marshes, pastureland, irrigated land, seasonally flooded agricultural land, and canals and ditches.
