Chuck Metcalf (8 January 1931−11 January 2012) was an American jazz double-bassist. He taught at Garfield High School's Magnet Program with saxophonist Joe Brazil in 1968.[1] In 1980 he toured with Dexter Gordon. His first solo studio album named Elsie Street was released in 1989.[2] In January 2012 he died from cancer.[3]
