Chuwit Jitsakul

Chuwit Chitsakul ต.ม. (TM) (born October 22, 1937)[1] is a Thai businessman and politician.

Personal life

Chuwit (Thai: ชูวิทย์ จิตรสกุล) was born on the 22 October 1937. He is the younger brother of a Thai businessman, Prasert Jitsakul. Chuwit received his accountancy degree from Chulalongkorn University, the oldest university in Thailand.[2] Chuwit is the designated dealer of Toyota Motor Thailand Co.,Ltd. of Phrae Province and Nan Province[3] and also one of major shareholders of Bangkok Expressway Public Company Limited[4] (company dealing with transportation and logistic in Bangkok). Chuwit currently resides at Phrae Province with his wife and family.

Political career

Chuwit was elected to the House of Representatives of Thailand in 1986 after he won the by-election. Chuwit represented Phrae twice in the House of Representatives of Thailand. Chuwit Jitsakul's tenure as the representative of Phrae in the House of Representatives of Thailand was from 1988 to 1992. After 1992 Chuwit retired from his political career.[5]
