Ciphent

Ciphent was formed in 2006 by security experts with experience at some business and security organizations to include Foundstone, Bank of America, Guardent, Booz Allen, CSC, Information Security Magazine and Fortify Security. Ciphent was acquired by Accuvant in September 2010.

Ciphent's Services

Ciphent's practice includes strategic functions such as security budget consolidation, achieving compliance, and policy development. The Ciphent Consulting organization specializes in cyber security assessments, application and software security, and incident response.

Ciphent Security Objects HealthCheck enables customers to get a Report Card on the current policy configuration for their security products. This technology enables proactive organizations to measure their product configurations to ensure that threats are not “slipping through the cracks.”

Ciphent Security Objects Transformation enables customers to convert and migrate their current security policies from one product to another.

About Ciphent

Ciphent was a private company headquartered in the Baltimore/Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area until 2010 when it was purchased by Denver-based Accuvant Inc. [1] At the time of the purchase, Ciphent and had over 150 clients ranging from 2 million to 80 billion in annual revenue.
