The whistling cisticola (Cisticola lateralis) is a species of bird in the Cisticolidae family. It is found in Angola, Benin, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ivory Coast, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Liberia, Mali, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Togo, Uganda, and Zambia. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, dry savanna, and moist savanna.
