Claim the Throne are a folk metal band from Perth, Western Australia, Australia. In 2008 they released their debut album Only the Brave Return through independent label Prime Cuts.
2009 saw the release of their EP Ale Tales, which also featured a DVD including a music video and behind the scenes footage the Only the Brave Return release party.[1] The track 'Set Sail on Ale' was nominated for the WAM Song of the Year in the Heavy category.[2]
In June 2010 they embarked on an Australian national tour as the main support for Scottish pirate metal band Alestorm, a slot repeated in 2012 across the UK and Ireland.
December 2010 saw the release of their second full length album, Triumph and Beyond.[3]
The band was the main support for Finntroll on their national Australian tour in March 2011.[4]
