Clara Mountcastle
Clara Mountcastle (1837–1908) was a Canadian author and artist.
Mountcastle studied art with her uncle John George Howard in Toronto. She won several prizes for watercolours at provincial and national exhibitions, but was prevented from joining the Ontario Society of Artists. She published both poetry and prose under the pseudonym Caris Sima.[1] She died of kidney cancer in 1908.[2]
