Clarissa Molina Contrera (born September 23, 1991) is a Dominican model and beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss Dominican Republic 2015 and represented Dominican Republic at Miss Universe 2015 pageant.[2]
Personal life
Molina was born in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic and is the daughter of Domingo Molina and Clara Contrera. At the age of 11, her parents separated and moved to New York City. She was left in the Dominican Republic with her brother and his wife.[3] At age 15 she and her siblings moved to New Jersey.
Nuestra Belleza Latina 2015
Molina auditioned for Univision's reality show and beauty pageant Nuestra Belleza Latina 2015 in New York City on October 4, 2014. Judge Jomari Goyso and guest judges Daniel Arenas and Veronica Bastos did not give her a pass to enter the competition because they saw her as arrogant. A couple of days later head judge Osmel Sousa went to her home in New Jersey to personally invite her to be part of the competition.[4] After several eliminations, she was selected to be part of the 12 finalists who enter the mansion of Nuestra Belleza Latina where she became a favorite among both the judges and audience. After 13 weeks of competition, she made it to the Top 4 and finished as 3rd Runner-Up.
Miss Dominican Republic 2015
After Clarissa had finished competing in Nuestra Belleza Latina, she had decided that she was ready to join Miss Dominican Republic 2015. She told the public that she was competing for the title in July 2015. She did not tell the public earlier because of her contract with Univision that she had after finishing Nuestra Belleza Latina. On August 30, 2015, Clarissa had won the title of Miss Dominican Republic Universe 2015.
Miss Universe 2015 After winning Miss Dominican Republic title , Clarissa had embarked on her journey to the Miss Universe competition in December. Throughout the Miss Universe pageant, Clarissa had done a very good job and overall landed a spot in the top 10. Clarissa was only 1 spot away from landing in the top 5 of Miss Universe
NBL VIP "All★Star"- Nuestra Belleza Latina 2016
Clarissa has been chosen by the fans to compete in the first ever "All★Star" season of Nuestra Belleza Latina, The season of Nuestra Belleza Latina 2016 will premiere on Sunday February 28, 2016.
