Claudio Beauvue (born 16 April 1988) is a French professional footballer from Guadeloupe who plays as a striker for Spanish club Celta de Vigo.
Troyes
Beauvue joined Troyes from FC Nantes' academy in 2006. He made his professional debut on the 24th of August 2007 against SC Bastia in the 2007/08 Ligue 2 season.
He then gets his first professional contract with the club in the summer of 2008.
Chateauroux
On the 23rd of March 2011, Beauvue is loaned (with an option to make deal permanent) for the 2011/12 Ligue 2 season to Châteauroux.[1] He makes his first start against Guingamp. He scores 10 goals in 37 matches during the Ligue 2 campaign and the club make the move permanent.
On the 19th of October 2012, Beauvue scores a hattrick in the Ligue 2 match against GFC Ajaccio (3-1), which then attracts interest from Ligue 1 side Olympique de Marseille.
Bastia
On the 29th of January 2013, Beauvue is loaned (with an option to buy) to Ligue 1 side SC Bastia. He makes his first start for the Corsican side against Evian Thonon FC. He scores his one and only goal for the side during the 36th matchday of the 2012/13 Ligue 1 against Montpellier HSC. However, Bastia do not opt to take their option to buy the player.
Guingamp
On the 30th of June 2013, Beauvue signs for En Avant de Guingamp. During his first season, he lifted the Coupe de France with his team after they beat Rennes 2-0 at the Stade de France.
During the next season, he is a regular starter with the side during their Ligue 1 and Europa League campaign. He scores 5 goals in the Europa League, one against Serie A side AC Fiorentina, one against Dinamo Minsk, two against PAOK Salonika and one against Dynamo Kiev, during a campaign where Guingamp were able to qualify for the Round of 16 of the Europa League for the first team in the club's history.
He finishes the season with 22 goals in 46 games that season, and finishes as fifth top scorer of the Ligue 1, behind Alexandre Lacazette, Andre-Pierre Gignac, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani.
Lyon
On the 27th of June 2015, Beauvue joins Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyonnais on a four-year contract. The transfer fee is estimated to be at 4.5 M €, with 3 M € bonus.
He played his first match with the side against Paris Saint-Germain in a 2-0 loss in the Trophée des Champions in Montréal. He scores his first goal with the club in a 1-0 win against his former side Guingamp at the Stade du Roudourou. He does not celebrate the goal and spends the night at the Panier des Salades, which is the bar of the Guingamp fans.
Despite his numerous first-team starts, Beauvue fails to fit in with the Lyon style of play, which is more focused on passing and possession. He scores his last goal for the club against former side Troyes.
Celta Vigo
On the 16th of January 2016, Beauvue signs for La Liga side Celta Vigo for 5 million euros (with 2.5 million euros bonus). He signs a five-year contract with the Spanish side.
