Cliff Woodbury
Cliff Woodbury (July 8, 1894 in Chicago, Illinois – November 13, 1984 in Alton, Illinois) was an American racecar driver. After crashing on the third lap of the 1929 Indianapolis 500, Woodbury became the first Indy pole-sitter to finish in last place. This feat would not be repeated until Pancho Carter in 1985.
Cliff Woodbury also set the one mile (1.6 km) record at Daytona Beach in 1930 with a run of 180.90 mph (291.13 km/h)
