Cloncurry Courthouse

Cloncurry Courthouse is a heritage-listed courthouse located in Sheaffe Street, Cloncurry, Queensland, Australia.

It was established in 1897.

The building is a constructed mainly of timber with a corrugated iron roof. A block at the rear of the building contains toilets and a reinforced concrete strong room.

History

The present courthouse is the second on the site and was erected in stages between 1897 and 1961. The additions and adaptations demonstrate how provision was made to increase services to match the growing needs of the Cloncurry area.

Heritage listing

The courthouse was listed on the Queensland Heritage Register in 1992.[1]
