Cloud Elements

Cloud Elements is a cloud API integration service company that uses a “one-to-many” approach to connect applications with services, each through a single API. Cloud Elements was founded in October 2012. Its headquarters are in Denver, Colorado.

Background

Cloud Elements has four co-founders: CEO Mark Geene, CTO Vineet Joshi, VP of Product Development Atul Barve and Gary Gaessler, Market Builder. The four shared a vision to "help developers build cloud applications faster and at a lower cost..."

Cloud Elements was created to offer cloud applications or "Hubs" that provide RESTful APIs with JSON payloads. Cloud Elements "differentiates itself with its one-to-many API which lets developers integrate and maintain several services or "elements" in a category."[1]

On July 18, 2014, the company announced receiving $3.1 million in a Series A funding round. Investors include Virginia-based Grotech Ventures, California-based Icon Venture Partners, along with Galvanize Ventures.[2]

Technology

Hubs

A hub is a category of cloud applications. Cloud Elements currently has five Hubs: Documents, CRM, Marketing, Messaging and Help Desk. Two others are planned: Finance, and Social. Within each Hub individual services support the category. "Customers can integrate to a Cloud Elements “Hub” via a single RESTful API and their app can connect to all the leading application in that category, without doing a custom integration to each service."[3]

Documents

The Documents hub unifies document management across Box, Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive and SharePoint.

CRM

The Cloud Elements CRM hub unifies customer relationship management across Salesforce.com, SugarCRM, with Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

Marketing

The Marketing hub unifies marketing automation across Eloqua, ExactTarget Marketing Cloud and HubSpot.

Messaging

The Messaging Hub unifies messaging across Infobip, SendGrid and Twilio.

Help Desk

The Help Desk Hub unifies customer service across Jira and Salesforce Service Cloud and ServiceNow.
