Clyde High School (CHS) is a public high school in Clyde, Ohio. It is the only high school in the Clyde-Green Springs Schools school district. Their nickname is the Fliers. It takes students from McPherson Middle School. Most of its students live in Clyde or Green Springs, Ohio, while a number live in Bellevue, Ohio or Fremont, Ohio due to open enrollment.

Clyde High School had renovations done with funding from the Ohio School Facilities Commission (OSFC) and local voters that was completed for the 2010 school year. Upgrades to the building included an auxiliary gymnasium, additional administrative office space, whole-building air conditioning, a larger cafeteria, and a main entrance to the school. This renovation is done on the heels of an auditorium being added to the school in 2005. The auditorium seats over 800—enough for the entire student body—and the new wing features new rehearsal and practice space for all CHS musical ensembles, as well as performance space for all performances in the district. The space was funded by private donation pledges and a voter levy. It replaces the auditorium that stood at the old McPherson Middle School, which was constructed in 1912. Prior to that, a new wing was added to the building in the late 1990s, including updated science labs, a new media center, and several additional classrooms and lockers. This addition was funded with a voter levy.

Academics

Eight courses are offered to students with corresponding credit from the University of Findlay. Additionally, traditional post-secondary educational opportunities are available.

Athletics

Clyde competes in the Sandusky Bay Conference with Edison, Huron, Margaretta, Oak Harbor, Perkins, Port Clinton, and (until 2014-15) St. Mary Central Catholic.

The Fliers are known for excelling in Football and Wrestling. In 1994, Clyde fell short of the state football title, losing in the championship game. In '95, they returned and were state champs with a record of 13-1. In 2005, the Fliers were region champs after entering the playoffs as the #1 seed, but they were knocked off the following week by Columbus St. Francis DeSales. They finished with a 12-2 record. The 2007 football season led to the Fliers being Division 3 Region 10 runners-up. They lost to the Big Walnut Golden Eagles who went on to be Division 3 State Champions. They also qualified for the playoffs in 2004, only to be ousted by Columbus Bishop-Watterson in the first round.
