Coach Trip 3 was the third series of Coach Trip in the United Kingdom, that was filmed between September and October 2008 (before MFI, Woolworths and Zavvi became defunct) and began showing in May 2009. The show's format after a break of 3 years remained unchanged from the previous series but the idents were new along with the timeslot: seven couples travelling around Europe on a coach like series 1 for 30 days attempting vote off the least popular couples with visits to Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Liechtenstein and Luxembourg for the first time. Tour guide Brendan Sheerin and coach driver Paul Donald both returned for this series, which aired on Channel 4 with a similar end to series 2. David Quantick was the narrator and MT04 MTT was the registration number plate for the first and only time.
Broadcasts
After Wogan's Perfect Recall debuted along with ITV1's Divided, Channel 4 announced that Coach Trip would return to the channel in May 2009 after a 3 year absence. Before ITV1's The Chase debuted with The Fuse and before Golden Balls on ITV1 came to an end, The series of was broadcast on weekdays at 5pm for 6 weeks, beginning on 29 May 2009. An omnibus was originally shown each weekend but was cancelled part of the way through.

- ^2 On Day 24, due to the announcement of the red terror, Brendan instated a new voting rule - on vote time the couple who received the most votes would get an immediate red card, this happened to be James & Tracy, this system used after arrival in Hungary and also returned on Celebrity Coach Trip, Series 6, series 7 and Christmas Coach Trip.

The Trip Day by Day
Arrival Day and Day 1 of the trip - Port of Dover/Antwerp
Seven couples take a tour around 30 cities, battling it out to stay on the coach trip of a lifetime as long as they can.
Day 2 - Reims
The tourists visit Reims and the World War II Surrender Museum, before a merry trip to a Champagne house. One couple are already being singled out at vote time.
Day 3 - Luxembourg City
A walking tour of Luxembourg City gets mixed reviews and a pottery class proves popular for all the wrong reasons. The first new couple join the tour.
Day 4 - Strasbourg/Rust
The group have an Alsatian cooking class in Strasbourg and visit one of Europe's biggest theme parks. But an unexpected row at voting time spoils the party.
Day 5 - Mount Titlis
The group head up a snow-covered mountain in Switzerland, and the atmosphere is still frosty after last night's bust-up. Can Graham and Ivy survive another vote?
Day 6 - Lucerne/Vitznau
The coach has reached Lucerne in Switzerland, and the group upset a local celebrity before upsetting each other at another emotional vote.
Day 7 - Liechtenstein
Brendan gets annoyed as one of the tourists gets drunk at the Prince of Liechtenstein's private vineyard, plus a flamboyant new couple join the group.
Day 8 - Munich
The group go on a rather unusual tour of Munich's Olympic stadium, while the noisy new arrivals get a mixed response from the rest of the tourists.
Day 9 - Salzburg
The group cross over into Austria, where one tourist behaves very badly at Hitler's Eagle's Nest. But at vote time it's another couple who are warned about their behaviour.
Day 10 - Innsbruck
An Alpine adventure is on the itinerary today as the group learn to yodel and bobsleigh in Innsbruck. Plus, two new couples join the party to shake things up a little.
Day 11 (Day XI) - Lake Garda/Riva del Garda
The coach heads into Italy and the group learn to sail on beautiful Lake Garda. After a dramatic vote the new arrivals suspect they are being targeted by the original Coach Trippers.
Day 12 (Day XII) - Venice
The group enjoy a romantic day in Venice: appropriately enough, a love affair is blossoming within the group. But love is not in the air at another tense vote.
Day 13 (Day XIII) - Comacchio/Ravenna
The coach heads down Italy's Adriatic coast, where a visit to an eel farm is too much for some to stomach. At vote time, the new arrivals and the original tourists air their grievances.
Day 14 (Day XIV) - Bologna
The group attempt to learn Italian - some more successfully than others - and then visit a traditional vineyard. There are more new arrivals and surprise departures after an emotional vote.
Day 15 (Day XV) - Cesenatico
The coach pulls into the Italian seaside town of Cesenatico, where two of the group reveal more than they should at the beach. Two Coach Trippers have an angry bust-up at lunch.
Day 16 (Day XVI) - Conero/Ancona
The group visit some spectacular limestone caves and welcome two more new tourists before suffering seasickness on a stormy night ferry to Croatia.
Day 17 - Makarska
Still feeling the effects of their rough ferry crossing, the group head to the peaceful Croatian seaside town of Makarska. But the peace is wrecked by a big row at vote time.
Day 18 - Dubrovnik
A walk along the Dubrovnik city walls proves too much for two of the tourists, and then at the vote yesterday's disagreement flares up again - leading to an early exit for one couple.
Day 19 - Montenegro
Two couples are taken ill and miss the day's trip to Montenegro - leading to a surprise result at vote time.
Day 20 - Split
There is a dramatic early-morning departure before the tour reaches the city of Split, where some local hunks teach the Coach Trippers Croatian watersports - with mixed results.
Day 21 - Zadar
Two new arrivals join the group, as they continue their exploration of Croatia with a tour of the Dalmatian Islands on a private boat.
Day 22 - Lake Plitvice
The group are given time to relax at Croatia's beautiful Plitvice Lakes National Park. But tensions rise later when the remaining original tourists continue to try to rig the voting.
Day 23 - Zagreb
In the Croatian capital, Zagreb, the group swap the coach for some unusual transportation, with disastrous results. And two new arrivals intend to shake up the voting.
Day 24 - Heviz (Hévíz)
Brendan stirs up the group by announcing a dramatic twist at the day's vote, leaving the original tourists fighting for their survival.
Day 25 - Budapest
The coach reaches the Hungarian capital, Budapest, where the group try their hand at making one of the national dishes, goulash. Plus, the newer tourists take control at vote time.
Day 26 - Vienna
The coach reaches Vienna and the group enjoy some musical treats. But Brendan has a massive row with two new tourists who don't want to play by his rules.
Day 27 - Český Krumlov
Brendan leads the group whitewater rafting in the Czech town of Cesky Krumlov before upsetting a local guide on a brewery tour.
Day 28 - Marienbad
The group are excited by a visit to the spa town of Marienbad, but the treatments aren't as relaxing as they'd hoped. Later, one tourist surprises the group by revealing a secret past.
Day 29 – Prague
The coach reaches its final destination, Prague, where the tour party cause havoc in a puppet museum and on a vintage tram, before choosing their favourite couple in a special final vote.
Day 30 - The Last Day
As the 14 tourists who have made it to the end of the line head home to the UK, Brendan looks back on his favourite and funniest moments of the 30-day tour.
