Codero Hosting is a global provider of fully managed, enterprise-grade dedicated, cloud computing, and hybrid hosting services based in Austin, Texas and Kansas City, Kansas. The company has three US based SSAE 16 data centers operating in Dallas, Texas, Phoenix, Arizona, and Ashburn, Virginia.[1] The company offers hosted dedicated servers, cloud servers, hybrid cloud, load balancers, firewalls, disaster recovery, backup solutions, and more.
History
Codero Hosting's roots date back to 1992, when shared hosting and domain registration company Aplus.net was founded in San Diego, California. In 2006, Aplus.net was acquired by Catalyst Investors. In 2009, Catalyst Investors sold the company’s shared hosting and domains business to Deluxe Corporation,[2] which allowed Codero to refocus its business around dedicated hosting, and managed hosting. On July 31, 2009, the company officially re-branded itself as Codero.[3]
In January 2012, the company appointed former Hewlett-Packard VP of Cloud Services and Rackspace Vice President, and Rackspace Cloud General Manager Emil Sayegh as its President and CEO.[4]
On June 2, 2015, Codero announced it had been acquired by BLM Acquisition Corp., a consortium of 32 regional telecom and broadband providers. The acquisition preserved Codero as an independent company while adding capital and expanding its geographical reach to continue serving customers and continue its growth.[5] Emil Sayegh remained as CEO and President, and also became the Chairman of the Board.

Codero has three primary product lines: Managed Dedicated Servers, The Codero Cloud, and the On-Demand Hybrid Cloud. Codero has a wide array of hosting solutions that can be right-fitted for businesses of any size, depending on their specific needs.
Managed Dedicated Servers
All of Codero's dedicated servers come with a managed hosting solution. Codero offers two levels of managed hosting solutions: Essential Managed Hosting and Proactive Managed Hosting.[6]
The Essential Managed Hosting service level ensures Codero's network and hardware, as well as the customer's operating system, remain up and running. It also includes unlimited access to 24/7/365 expert technical support (available by phone, ticket, or chat), as well as many other benefits, including free reinstalls in the event that a server is compromised, automated nightly snapshots on Smart Servers, and state-of-the-art security to deter hackers and spammers.
The Proactive Managed Hosting service level elevates the protection, monitoring and hands on management of our customers’ applications and infrastructure. Along with all the benefits of Codero's Essential Managed Hosting level, Codero offers 24/7/365 proactive monitoring of customer infrastructure with rapid response to minimize downtime. Customers receive access to a dedicated team and named account manager, as well as access to the highest level techs for advanced troubleshooting. Proactive Managed Hosting also ensures uptime of managed hardware firewalls, local storage (hardware RAID), network attached storage (NAS), and storage area network (SAN).
The Codero Cloud
In 2015, the cloud computing platform of Codero, is named The Codero Cloud. Codero announced the launch of the latest availability zone for the Codero Cloud in its Dallas data center. This iteration of the Codero Cloud is powered by 100% solid-state drives and is the only on-demand Hybrid Cloud in the world.[7]
On-Demand Hybrid Hosting
Codero's On-Demand Hybrid Hosting technology allows customers to instantly leverage the power of dedicated hosting with the flexibility of cloud computing by connecting their dedicated and cloud resources with a single click into a private network, requiring no special “Connect” devices or proprietary bridges needed.[8]

In 2013, Codero's On-Demand Hybrid Hosting solution was named one of the best hybrid cloud solution providers by HostReview.[9]
In 2015, Codero Hosting ranked in the Top 10 in Netcraft's most reliable hosting companies.[10]
Also in 2015, four of Codero's executives were named to Techweek's 'Techweek 100', which identifies leaders that make a significant impact on the worlds of technology and innovation.[11]
