Coktel Vision or Coktel Studio was a French video game developer and a subsidiary of Mindscape. The company developed adventure and action games in the mid-1980s. It is primarily known as a computer game publisher of its subsidiary Tomahawk; none of Tomahawk's games were sold outside Europe. Coktel Vision also developed educational games, most of them starring ADI the alien.

History

In 1993 Coktel Vision became a subsidiary of Sierra On-Line, which began to sell Coktel Vision's games in the United States. Following Sierra's buyout by Havas Interactive and disappointing sales of its last titles, Coktel Vision is now developing only educational games that are marketed mostly in Europe.

With the sale of Knowledge Adventure to an independent organisation, Vivendi Universal's Interactive Publishing division had a European company through which they developed educational software but no label for it. They subsequently sold Coktel Vision to France-based Mindscape, where it exists today developing titles, such as Adibou, pretty much exclusively in French.

In Canada, Joël Champagne's I.C.E. Multimédia released the Coktel Vision releases from 1998 to 2004, with Canadian actors instead of the original European ones. However, the Ste-Adèle-based company went bankrupt in November 2004, so the existing releases were sold to another Canadian company, PMD Logisoft.
