Colby Village Elementary School (CVES), It is located at 92 Colby Drive, Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia in the subdivision of Colby Village , and was first constructed in 1975. It holds grades P-6. Colby graduates then move on to Astral Drive Junior High School, and Auburn Drive High School. It has around 155 students with a morning, lunch and after school program. Its colors are black and yellow, and its mascot is a penguin in reference to the Pittsburgh Penguin's captain, Sidney Crosby, who attended Colby Village Elementary, as a child.
