Colleen, Virginia

Colleen is an unincorporated community in Nelson County, Virginia, United States. It was originally named Cabelsville. From 1761, Colleen was the first seat of government of the original Amherst County and of Nelson County since its formation in 1807. Colleen has been the home of the Parr family. A very influential family in the history of Nelson County. Lovingston became home to the courthouse in 1809.
