The College of Agricultural Technology (CAT Theni) in Theni, Tamil Nadu was established in 2010.

College of Agricultural Technology is affiliated to the erstwhile Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore. It is situated at foot hills of Western Ghats, the entry point to the fertile and ever green Cumbum Valley, adjacent to River Vaigai, the College of Agricultural Technology (CAT Theni) inculcates globally acceptable practices in delivery of education and developing research culture.

CAT Theni is the brain child of Dr. K. Balaraman, Ph.D. (Plant Pathology) an alumnus of TNAU, Coimbatore (1969). CAT Theni is a constituent of Krishna Group managed by SKET, Bangalore.

The campus is located near Kullapuram Village with Perumal Malai serving as backdrop. The 20K sq. ft Academic Block encompasses 15 class rooms, 8 labs, 1 Exam hall, library and computer/language lab. Being a residential institution, 150 room hostel separately for men and women is available. canteen facilities, gym, Animal husbandry unit, farm fields, shadenet nursery, mushroom shed, land scaped gardens are available for innovative hand-on approach to impart agricultural knowledge. Co-curricular activities like National Social Service Scheme, Yoga are also taught. Transformative methods of teaching and learning include broad based curriculum underscored by multi-disciplinary courses, cross discipline-faculty improvement programs which help students realize their potential.
