Colorado Balloon Classic
The Colorado Balloon Classic has been held each Labor Day weekend since 1977. It takes place near Prospect Lake in Memorial Park, Colorado Springs. It is the "largest and the longest continuously running hot air balloon festival in the Rocky Mountain region as well as the State of Colorado."[1][2][3]
In 2013, mass ascensions of dozens of hot air balloons are scheduled for the mornings of Saturday, August 31; Sunday, September 1. A "Balloon Glo" is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday evenings. Admission to the event is free and concessions are available during the event.[1][2][3]
