Colwellia is a genus of deep sea psychrophilic, piezophilic and facultative anaerobic bacteria from the family of Colwelliaceae.[1][2][3][4][5] Colwellia grows at a temperatur at -20°C by producing cryoprotective polmeric substances.[6]
