Combs Wood

Comb's Wood is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and a nature reserve located on the southern edge of Stowmarket, in the English county of Suffolk. The site is owned and managed by Suffolk Wildlife Trust who operate a nature reserve of 17.0 hectares (42 acres) in area.[1] An area 14.3 hectares (35 acres) in area on the site is designated as an SSSI, consisting of an area of ancient woodland with stands of Hornbeam with some Ash and Field Maple as well as Oak on the site.[2] The site was recorded in the Domesday Book as "a wood for 16 swine".[1]
