Reception
Team Xbox scored the title a 7/10 stating "Commando 3 definitely has its appeal, but a lot more could have been done to extend the gameplay or just make it feel more varied."[7] IGN gave the title a 5.9/10 stating "In a crowded field of throwback arcade shooters on XBLA, Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3 just doesn’t stand out. "[5] OXM said "This three-player scrolling shooter has that old-school, spray-and-slay mojo that your inner rageaholic craves."[6]
