Community of the Glorious Ascension
The Community of the Glorious Ascension (CGA) is an Anglican monastic community in the United Kingdom, co-founded in 1960 by twin brothers Michael Ball and Peter Ball who both later became bishops.[1] It was founded in Stratford Park in Stroud, Gloucestershire. There is also a house of sisters at Prasada in Montauroux, in the South of France.
Peter Ball is serving a prison sentence for sex abuse and malfeasance in office.[1][2][3][4][5]
The community maintains two separate priories at the present time, both in Chillington, South Devon. [6]
