Concerto (ballet)

Concerto is a one-act ballet in three movements created by Kenneth MacMillan in 1966 for the Berliner Ballett. The music is Dmitri Shostakovich's Second Piano Concerto (1957).

The first performance was on 30 November 1966 at the Deutsche Oper, Berlin. MacMillan staged the piece for the Royal Ballet Touring Company at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden in May 1967.[1]
