Conrad Prebys
Conrad Prebys (born in 1933) is a San Diego-based property developer and philanthropist. Prebys cofounded Progress construction in 1965, bought out his partner in 1980. Over the years, Prebys shifted his focus from construction to property ownership, and as of 2015 owned 81 properties in the greater San Diego area. He has an estimated net worth of approximately one billion USD. Prebys is a prolific philathropist, and has made major donations to biomedical research, higher education, and public broadcasting.
