Constantijn Francken (1661, Antwerp – 1717, Antwerp), was a Flemish Baroque painter and a member of the Francken family of artists.
Life
He was the son of Hieronymous Francken III who died before he could teach him to paint.[1] It is unknown who his teacher was, but he declared that he had been in Paris for 15 years when he joined the Antwerp Guild of St. Luke in 1694.[1] In 1696 he became deacon of the guild and took on Karel van Falens as his pupil.[1] He is known for landscapes with soldiers.[1]
