Consumer Attorneys of California
Consumer Attorneys of California is an organization with more than 3,000 lawyers that represents plaintiffs in tort actions. It charges plaintiffs only if they win their cases, meaning they use a contingency-based fee system. According to Consumer Attorneys of California, those it sues generally are far greater in strength than its clients.[1] Up until 1995, it was known as the California Trial Lawyers Association.
CAOC is currently led by President Brian D. Chase and President-Elect Elise Sanguinetti.[2]
