Cortinarius flavivelatus is a species of fungus in the large mushroom genus Cortinarius (subgenus Phlegmacium). Known only from boreal coniferous forests of Sweden, it was described as new to science in 2014. The specific epithet flavivelatus refers to the yellow colour of the universal veil. The species is closely related to Cortinarius pini, which differs by having a white universal veil and larger spores.[1]
