Coryphantha alversonii,[1] commonly known as the foxtail cactus, is a stem succulent plant in the Coryphantha genus of the cactus family (Cactaceae).[2] It has black tipped spines and lavender flowers.[3] It is found in desert mountains of California.[2] It is included in the CNPS Inventory of Rare and Endangered Plants.
