Count of Poitiers

Among the people who have borne the title of Count of Poitiers (or Poitou, in what is now France but in the Middle Ages became part of Aquitaine) are:

Charles Louis Edmond "de Bourbon", a pretender to the French throne, has used the title. His claim was disproven in 1998 when DNA tests showed that his ancestor, Karl Wilhelm Naundorff, was not Louis XVII of France.
