History

Cruise1st was originally launched in 2000, trading under Text Abroad Holiday.[1]

They were acquired by Island Cruises in October 2003 and, after the merger between First Choice and TUI Travel UK, became wholly owned by Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (NYSE: RCL) in November 2008.[2][3][4]

Cruise1st launched their Australian subsidiary Cruise1st Australia in 2010, followed by Cruise1st Singapore in 2013.[5][6][7]

Cruise1st.tv

In January 2015, Cruise1st launched Cruise1st.tv - a cruise shopping TV strand on Sky Channel 266, daily from 2pm to 5pm.[8] In January 2016, Cruise1st began to broadcast on HOCHANDA - Sky 663 | Freeview 39 | Freesat 817, every Thursday at 6pm.

On the 2nd May 2016 Cruise1st launched TV Cruise Channel on Sky Digital 261. The channel broadcasts 7 days a week from 7am to 7pm and features a selection of editorial shows fronted by Cheryl Baker and Julie Peasgood
