"Cry" is a song released by the British music duo Godley & Creme in 1985. It was included on the duo's album The History Mix Volume 1.

The song peaked at No. 16 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, becoming Godley & Creme's lone Top 40 hit in the US apart from their former band, 10cc. It also reached No. 19 on the UK Singles Chart.

The duo also directed the song's music video, which featured faces blended into each other using analogue cross-fading.

Cover versions

• In 1985, "Cry" was covered by Italo disco singer Tom Hooker.
• In 1992, the song was covered by Australian singer Lisa Edwards, becoming a Top 5 hit on the ARIA Charts. This version had a different structure to the original version.
• In 1997, Canadian band The Philosopher Kings covered the song on their album Famous, Rich and Beautiful.
• In 2007, the song was covered by Belgian band Hooverphonic during their tour and was later reworked and released as a B-side for their single "Circles" in 2008.
• In 2010, the song was covered by American band Gayngs on their album Relayted. The accompanying video is a direct homage to the original video, and features a cameo by Kevin Godley.
