The Cuban oriole (Icterus melanopsis) is a species of bird in the family Icteridae. It is endemic to Cuba.

Adults measure 20 cm (7.9 in) and are black with yellow patches on shoulders, underwings, rump and undertail. Sexes are alike. Juvenile birds are yellow-green with a black face and throat.[2]

The taxon was formerly lumped with the Bahama oriole (Icterus northropi), Hispaniolan oriole (Icterus dominicensis), and Puerto Rican oriole (Icterus portoricensis) into a single species [3] until all four were elevated to full species in 2010.[4]

Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical mangrove forests, and plantations.
