Professor Cynthia Pine CBE (born October, 1953) is a British Dentistry educator. She was the first woman to lead a British school of Dentistry in 2003.

Life

Pine was born in 1953 in Guyana. She was the first woman to cecome the Dean of a British school of Dentistry in 2003 when she was appointed by the University of Liverpool School of Dentistry. She was later appointed as Pro Vice Chancellor, International at Salford University[1]

Pine was made a Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (CBE) in 2006.[2] Pine has been included in the Powerlist of the UK’s 100 most influential people of African and Afro-Caribbean descent.[1]
