The cachorrito de dorsal larga (Cyprinodon verecundus) is a species of fish in the Cyprinodontidae family.
It is endemic to the states of Yucatán and Quintana Roo on the Yucatán Peninsula in southeastern Mexico.
It is a Critically endangered species, threatened by habitat loss.
