Cyranichthys ornatissimus ("very ornate horned fish") is an extinct marine aulopiform fish from the Cenomanian epoch of what is now the Kipala formation in the Congo.[1]
The living animal would have had a gar-like or saury-like appearance, though, its closest living relatives are lancetfish and lizardfish.
