J. Cyril Stacey (born in Halifax) was an English professional rugby league footballer of the 1910s and 1920s , playing at representative level for Great Britain, and Yorkshire, and at club level for Halifax, as a Fullback, i.e. number 1. He is a Halifax Hall Of Fame Inductee.[1]
Stacey was selected to go on the 1920 Great Britain Lions tour of Australasia. He won a cap for Great Britain while at Halifax in 1920 against New Zealand.[2] Stacey won caps for Yorkshire while at Halifax. His last game for Halifax was on 9 February 1929.
