Diederik Bakker Stefan den Daas |
D-Block & S-te-Fan (Diederik Bakker and Stefan den Daas) are two hardstyle and electro house DJs/producers from The Netherlands. Having met each other in 2004, Bakker and den Daas had their first release as D-Block & S-te-Fan in 2005. D-Block & S-te-Fan had a string of releases on various labels before signing for Scantraxx and launching their own sub label, Scantraxx Evolutionz, on which they continue to release as of 2014. Over their career, D-Block & S-te-Fan have performed at some of the biggest hardstyle & dance events in the world including, Thrillogy, Qlimax, Mysteryland, Decibel and in 2011 hosted their own X-Qlusive.[1] Bakker grew up with his father producing electronic music, which allowed him to learn musical skills very early in his childhood.[2] Daas' inspiration comes from happy hardcore,[3] They also did a remix of the Headhunterz & Wildstylez track "Blame it on the Music," which was featured on Headhunterz' 2010 Studio Sessions album. In 2010 D-Block & S-te-Fan got ranked at #73 on the DJ Mag Top 100 DJ's as their entry year. Then in 2011 D-Block & S-te-Fan climbed 33 rankings and got ranked at #40 on the DJ Mag Top 100 DJ's. Another year later in 2012 D-Block & S-te-Fan fell down 24 rankings and got ranked at #64 on the DJ Mag Top 100 DJ's. Most recently in 2013 D-Block & S-te-Fan fell down 8 more rankings and got ranked at #72 on the DJ Mag Top 100 DJ's. In 2015 D-Block & S-te-Fan had made a name for their house productions dubbed DBSTF in which they released three singles. Blasterjaxx had collaborated with them to release a track called Beautiful World on January 5th, 2015 with vocals from British Vocalist Ryder on Hardwell's Label Revealed Recordings. They released another Track on Doorn Records called Do Your Thing on April 6th, 2015. They released a new track under Mainstage Music with Hilversum Progressive House Duo Sick Individuals titled Waiting for you on August 3rd, 2015
