Denis "D. J." Smith (born May 13, 1977) is a retired professional ice hockey player who played 45 games in the National Hockey League. He played with the Toronto Maple Leafs and Colorado Avalanche. He was formerly the head coach of the Oshawa Generals in the Ontario Hockey League, where he won a Memorial Cup.[1][2]

Smith is currently an assistant coach with the Toronto Maple Leafs, hired by the club on June 16, 2015.[3]
