Early life

D. Robert Crants, III graduated from Princeton University, where he received a bachelor's degree in Economics in 1990.[1]

Career

Crants worked for Goldman Sachs where he worked with Michael Devlin. He was a founding member of the Special Investments Group where he helped develop and market equity derivative products, exchange funds, merchant bankking funds, and more, totalling over 6 billion in funds raised. He was the recipient of the Goldman Sachs Banking Division Innovation Award in 1993.

Crants co-founded Pharos Capital with Michael Devlin.

Philanthropy

Crants fundraised for the Louisiana Education Assistance Fund in order to help post-Katrina education and rebuilding effort.
