DHI Water & Environment
DHI is an international software development and engineering consultant firm specializing in hydraulic and hydrological modeling software[1]. Founded in 1964, DHI has about 30 offices throughout the world, with software development centers in Singapore and Horsholm, Denmark. The name DHI originated from the acronym of Danish Hydraulic Institute. While independent, DHI is associated with the Danish Academy of Technical Sciences and maintains a partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme focused on management of water resources[2]. DHI's 2014 corporate revenue was about €111.5M[3]. Some of the types of modeling software DHI develops includes groundwater modeling, coastal modeling, surface water (river and flood) modeling, and urban distribution and collection system modeling[4].
