Production
Development
Director by Udaya prakash rechristened himself as Vijay Kampali before beginning this venture. He approached director-actor Prem to feature in this satirical comedy subject. The film was earlier said to be based on the real life of Karnataka politician D. K Shivakumar.[5] However the makers refused the statement and claimed the story to be original and not inspired by any person or any other film. Prem had to shed his weight in preparation for the role. Chaitra Chandranath, who could not take off her career with her debut film Viraat being shelved, was considered to play the lead female role in the film.[6] The filming took place extensively in Mysore.[7]
